be enough helmet awareness here in Houston.
I'm still praying for your brother, hope everything will be

first thing in the morning I will check in again.
It really peeves me how many people drive under the influence.
They just don't care, either. I saw so much of this when I was
doing club photography every weekend. Often it's the young kids who
think they are immortal, and don't consider that their actions
might harm others in addition to themselves. And the laws around
DUIs in most places just aren't stringent enough to make an effect.
Since this one caused a loss of life, hopefully the driver gets
thrown away for manslaughter for a good long time. But DUI laws
need to include mandatory jailtime and permanant loss of driver's
license after even a single conviction...

lesion. the neurologist said that he can probably go home on

according to the news, this guy deserves a harsh punishment for
putting some many people in pain, by his reckless and irresponsible

Quick update: my brother was out of ICU yesterday and should be
out of the hospital sometime today. he will need some rehab (not
too extensive) and a minor operation for the broken bones in his
face in the next 3 weeks. haven't heard too much about the other
riders. some had minor injuries and have been treated and released.
i know one is still in critical condition. my brother still doesn't
know about his team mate, though. thank you again for your
thoughts. hopefully i will be able to talk to him tonight.
